Some dates for 2018 are tentative and subject to change

September 2018

Sept. 7-8, Lakeport, Clear Lake, CA, Clear Lake Splash-In You can expect to see everything from Cessnas, and Pipers, up to the larger Grummans such as the Goose and Albatross. You never know what might show up.

Sept. 8-9, Schellville Airport, Sonoma, CA, Display Days Numerous vintage and veteran aircraft on display both days from 12 noon to 4 pm. For a look at the aircraft of Schellville click here.

Sept. 12-16, Stead Field, Reno, Nevada, 55th National Championship Air Races Air Racing, Air Racing, MultiGP Drone Racing, and more Air Racing, not to mention the air shows in between. There are six classes of air racers, along with the pits, static displays, the drone zone, and dozens of aviation related vendors. Don't miss this event.

Sept. 21-23, California Capitol Air Show, CA, California Capitol Airshow The 13th annual California Capitol Airshow will be roaring across the skies of our region again. Starting with a Friday night air show and continuing through the weekend with the U.S.A.F. Thunderbirds, CF-18 National Demo Team, U.S. Army Golden Knights, E-4B Nightwatch, Matt Younkin - Beech 18, Jeff Boerboon's Yak 110, the F-35A Lightning II Heritage Flight, and more!

Sept. 22-23, Sonoma County Airport, Santa Rosa, CA, Wings Over Wine Country Air Show This is the Pacific Coast Air Museums annual Open House and Air Show, with the museum's collection of aircraft on display, and many open cockpits for visitors to sit in. Meet pilots and their crews. Take some up-close pictures of your favorite aircraft. Feel the power of after-burning jets. It's a full weekend of flying fun and excitement.

Sept. 22, Nut Tree Airport, CA, Legends Of Flight Pancake Breakfast This is a monthly event that is a Fundraiser and Aircraft Display Day, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. See their facebook page for details.

October 2018

Oct. 5-7, San Francisco Bay, Fleet Week    Featuring the U.S. Navy Blue Angels. The Sky Is The Limit At The Air Show! You will get face-to-face with famous planes and pilots and see some pretty fancy maneuvering in the sky too!

Oct. 20, San Martin Airport, CA, Wings Of History Air Museum Special Event "How the United States Went to the Moon" at 1:00 p.m. In July, 1969, the United States landed two astronauts on the lunar surface a feat that was repeated five additional times. This presentation is approximately one hour and thirty minutes in length describing how it was that our country was able to achieve those events in history. Fee: Museum members $6, non-members $9 (All attendance by reservation only!) Registration by email to WOH Museum All fees payable upon entering room on day of event.

Nov.17, San Martin Airport, CA, Wings Of History Air Museum Special Event "History of the Flying Wing Airplane Development into the B-2 Stealth Bomber" at 11:00 a.m. This presentation traces the origins of the flying wing design which ultimately developed into the B-2 Stealth Bomber of today. Includes details as to how aircraft design contributes to its amazing ability to fly undetected by the enemy. Approximately one hour in length. Fee: Museum members $6, non-members $9 (All attendance by reservation only!) Registration by email to WOH Museum All fees payable upon entering room on day of event.

Dec. 8, San Martin Airport, CA, Wings Of History Air Museum Special Event "Wright Brothers" at 1:00 p.m. An illustrated Power Point presentation of the Wright Brothers and their accomplishment of being the first to fly a powered, controllable flight, heavier than air aircraft. The verbal presentation will be followed immediately by a docent led tour of the museum full scale replica of the Wright Flyer. Entire program very close to two hours in duration. Fee: Museum members $6, non-members $9 (All attendance by reservation only!) Registration by email to WOH Museum All fees payable upon entering room on day of event.
