Presidents Message for June 2013
Our April 13 meeting at the Moffett Field History Museum was another fascinating one. We all enjoyed B-17 Navigator Ray Allen's presentation on his fly ing experiences and bombing missions during World War II, including his training on "etiquette!" See our newsletter for meeting details.
October 13 Meeting - Changed from October 5
Mark your calendars for our October 13 meeting at the Nut Tree Airport, where we will attend the Gathering of Mustangs event. They are expecting between eight to 12 P-51s, and your meeting price will include admission, parking, BBQ lunch and beverages, and a place in the shade. Bring a friend, and check our Facebook site if you are interested in carpooling. Our fall newsletter will have all the information.
Summer Newsletter Contributions Requested
Betty Veronico is gathering photos and articles for our expanded summer newsletter and needs additional contributions. Been to an aviation museum lately, or have photos of interest? Don't be shy - we'd all love to share in your aviation experiences! Member contributions is what makes our summer newsletter such an outstanding publication.World War II Army Air Force Aces Symposium on June 2
At our April meeting, Phil Schasker, president of the Northern California Friends of the American Fighter Aces Association, announced their summer symposium at the Hiller Aviation Museum featuring four Mustang and P-38 Aces. Please see page 9 for further information.
