The American Flyer team does some last minute adjusting on their machine, prior to heading for the launching pier. John Diquisto, Gill Moralas, Mike Tapia, and Rich Toledo will be helping their 62 year-old pilot, Johnny Carter, to launch their Victorian era, steam-pumper fire engine, pulled by a highly untraditional set of mermaids. Carter will assist the launch with a concealed bicycle. The crew of the American Flyer are all from the San Jose Fire Department.
